Was it dumped by thieves?

dinghy.jpgRiver Police are interested in finding out who owns this grey dingy (pictured) after it was found left on the bank in Hampton.

The boat was found tied up to the bank of the River Thames near Lower Hampton Road one week ago.

River Thames police officer PC Jim Halsted said: "We believe it was stolen from someone and we would like to talk to the owner of the dingy. But we cannot say where it was stolen from.

He's distributed quiz sheets around town and hopes to raise £200 towards a new roof for his scout hut by appealing for donations.
