Accusations of betrayal and 'having one foot in each camp' has led to one Elmbridge MP standing his ground.

MP for Esher and Walton Ian Taylor has disbanded claims of back stabbing by the Hampton Court Rescue Campaign when he wrote to the Secretary of State Hazel Blears in favour of not calling in the Jolly Boatman application for a public enquiry.

On January 5 the council will increase prices on all town and village centre car parks, but keep visits under two hours the same.

The man fell to his death on October 15 this year at Ditton Marine Services Ltd in Portsmouth Road, Thames Ditton, but died five days later in Kingston hospital.

Residents of Molesey have hit out at the first stage of approval to build on the site of the old Jolly Boatman pub.

At an Elmbridge Council planning meeting last Tuesday the decision to build 66 flats, a 46 bedroom hotel, a care home, underground car park on Hampton Court Way, by Gladedale, The Royal Star and Garter, and Network Rail, moved one step closer when councillors voted five to four to permit the application that used a classical design on the hotel.

A West Molesey woman who kept her neighbours awake all night with her partying was convicted of noise offences at Staines Magistrates Court on Thursday (October 16).

Jennifer Wheeler, of Pool Road, admitted breaching a Noise Abatement Notice handed to her by Elmbridge Borough Council after receiving complaints of anti-social noise including loud music and shouting coming from her house.

Elmbridge Council wants to hear the opinions of young people about a proposed skate park and youth equipment in Molesey.

It wants 11 to 16-year-olds to come to Molesey Youth Club, in Ray Road, West Molesey, on Tuesday November 4, at 6pm.

"Come along at 6pm for pizza - we'll be done by 8pm," said a spokesman.

A housebound pensioner who applied for a bus pass nine months ago has hit out at Elmbridge council for not sending it sooner.

Fran Davidson, who lives in Hurst Park, West Molesey, said she sent off for an over 60s concessionary bus pass last December but is still waiting for the council to send it.

An enhanced bin collections service one of the most advanced and comprehensive delivered anywhere in the country is planned for Elmbridge.
