A 49-year-old dad was coshed over the head with a brick as he walked along Faraday Road, West Molesey, with his wife and son.
The incident happened shortly after 12am on Sunday 12 October when the victim, from Purley, was approached by four youths, two male and two females.

Transport Police want to speak to these two men in connection with a serious assault on a 46-year-old woman on a London-bound train.
