Two friends stuffed their faces with a mountain of junk food to raise money for charity - and now they'll run, swim, and cycle off the excess pounds in a quirky triathalon.
Tim Moss, 25, of Green Lane, Molesey, and his University friend Thom Allen, 23, are appealing for sponsors to back them in their fundraising event, called from Tim to Thom.
The Esher and Molesey Garden Society is starting its Autumn series of lectures on Monday September 1 with a talk on Richmond Park.
Other talks will occur in October on November on flower pruning and conservation history.
A mum is organising a fundraising wedding ball in memory of her pregnant daughter who died from meningitis.
Alice Austin, 68, is staging the event for her daughter Gillian Redman, of Green Lane, Hersham, who died in March 2004 aged 31. She was 26 weeks pregnant and her baby, called Grace, died a short while afterwards when her lungs failed.
The ball is being held at the Gold Cup Suite, at Sandown Park Race Course, on September 27, and gives women the chance to dust off their wedding dresses and wear them again.
A residents group has called off its threat to blockade the Hurst Road Tesco in a protest at delivery lorries posing a road hazard.
Members of Hurst Park Residents' Association (HPRA) threatened to block Victoria Avenue, West Molesey, with their cars to stop supply lorries getting down the street and accessing the Hurst Park Tesco store.
Esher Molesey Garden Society held its 91st annual Flower Show on Saturday August 16 at St Nicholas Church Hall, Thames Ditton.
There were about 270 entries which the organisers described as "excellent considering the very changeable weather". These covered a full range garden produce and a home baking and preserves section.

A woman was treated by paramedics after her Honda Civic was involved in a smash another car.
The accident occured at the T-junction where Terrace Road meets Hurst Road and Walton Road at about 12.15pm today (August 15). It caused a build-up of traffic in both directions as the paramedics and firefighters attended the scene.
River Police are interested in finding out who owns this grey dingy (pictured) after it was found left on the bank in Hampton.
The boat was found tied up to the bank of the River Thames near Lower Hampton Road one week ago.
River Thames police officer PC Jim Halsted said: "We believe it was stolen from someone and we would like to talk to the owner of the dingy. But we cannot say where it was stolen from.
Opponents of a hotel and housing development which could "ruin the view of Hampton Court" gathered on Saturday to present a 3,000 signature petition.

Local artists are preparing an exhibition in East Molesey on the theme of the River Nile in Egypt and its treasures.
